Back Pain and Sciatica Specialist

Richard is the clinic director and principal practitioner at Exeter Health Plus.

Richard specialises in the non-surgical treatment of lower back pain, neck pain, sciatica and disc problems including slipped disc, herniated disc and arthritis of the spine. He is licensed to take and read x-rays and refer for all imaging including MRI and CT scans.

Having worked in various clinics, Richard returned to his home county of Devon and started his Exeter clinic in 2010. His aim is to bring the most comprehensive and advanced non-surgical treatment of lower back pain and sciatica to the area.

Richard lives in Exeter with his wife Sarah, a nurse at the Royal Devon & Exeter hospital, daughter Lily (age 12) and son Max (age 9).

In his spare time you will find Richard out on his road bike or mountain bike and he is a founding member of Exeter Cycling Club. In 2019 Richard completed his first 100-mile cycle ride, the Nello in support of the local Force cancer charity. Richard is also a keen tennis player, skier and snowboarder.

Jack Glanvile BSc (Hons)

Sports Injury and Spinal Specialist

Jack is an experienced Sports Injury and Back Pain Specialist. He specialises in the non-surgical treatment of complex shoulder, knee and hip complaints, combining traditional techniques with the MLS class IV Laser Therapy system and Shockwave Therapy. Jack is also qualified as a Spinal Specialist in the use of Spinal Decompression Therapy for the non-surgical treatment of lower back pain, slipped discs and sciatica.


Jack is a huge rugby fan and supporter of Exeter Chiefs and will regularly be at Sandy Park watching them play. Jack has previously worked alongside the head coach of England Rugby, Eddie Jones and recently has been supporting the Devon RFU youth teams with sports injury management.

Tobias Eibeck MSc BSc (Hons)

Sports Injury and Spinal Specialist

Tobi graduated from University with a BSc in Exercise and Sports Science then went on to attain a Masters in Sports Rehabilitation so there isn't much that he doesn't know about treating musculoskeletal complaints. Tobi brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the treatment and rehabilitation of the whole range of complaints often referred to as 'sports injuries' but not always experienced by sports players. If you are having problems with tennis elbow, knee pain, frozen shoulder, hip bursitis or in fact any type of complaint you can think of then Tobias has seen it all many times before!

With qualifications in Shockwave Therapy, Cold Laser Therapy (Low Level Light Therapy) and Spinal Decompression Therapy, Tobias will utilise the traditional techniques of massage, mobilisation and manipulation with the state-of-the-art medical grade equipment available at Exeter Health Plus. Combining these treatment modalities means great results and effective advise on rehabilitation exercises provides a clear path towards treating complaints and reducing relapses.


In his free time Tobias spends his time doing water sports and has a particular passion for surfing

Practice Manager and Appointment Coordinator

Georgia is the Practice Manager and Appointment Coordinator. Georgia is responsible for the smooth running of the clinic day-to-day and she is usually the first face that you will see when you come in to visit us. Georgia joined us from a previous role working in a busy GP surgery.

Georgia lives in Bow, a small village near Crediton in Devon. She has a puppy, a Golden Retriever named Lottie, 10 Koi carp and a guinea pig names Shadow. A keen swimmer, from the age of 15-17 Georgia competed at county level.
